New! Annuity Updates

- Just Retirement have put their Enhanced Annuity product live on Webline. This brings our panel of Annuity providers to 10, making it the most powerful available.

- Webline have developed a new annuity quotation form - midway between the current "quick quote" and our "detailed quote". Called 'Quick Quote plus', the new form allows you to quote additional options, principally splitting Non-Protected/Protected Rights and incorporating Widows Benefit, but it remains a simple and quick quotation tool. This latest development will be going live in the first half of December, so please keep an eye on our website "news" section for specific dates.

- Webline have introduced an online training video for the Quick Quote Annuity service, showing you how easy it is to use this service, and how to get the best out of your quotes. This can be accessed via our news section on the homepage, or under the info menu. Just imagine how much time you can save by getting a range of quotes for your clients in less than a minute! It costs you nothing to add all of our annuity quote features to your account, so why not give it a try?

New! mychoice Home and Contents Insurance

Webline is pleased to announce that BDML, a Capita company, has launched its mychoice home and contents insurance functionality to the Directly Authorised intermediary market via Webline.
Previously only available to Networks and their Appointed Representatives, Directly Authorised intermediaries can now register for free at www.mychoice-insurance.co.uk, and instantly access mychoice to quote and purchase home insurance (using your Webline number, username and password).

The DA mychoice site offers all the same benefits enjoyed by the larger networks, including a panel of 10 independently selected insurers, a single common policy wording, pre-populated compliance documentation, a commission alteration option and free access to the Building Cost Information Service's brand new rebuild look up feature.

New! PIP Bond & PruProtect now available on Webline

Prudential have just launched two new products for Financial Advisers – you can now quote for Prudential's PIP (Personal Investment Plan Bond) & PruProtect via Webline (depending on your FSA permissions).

PIP
PIP provides a wide range of investment funds to suit many market conditions. This includes Prudential's With-Profits Fund and a wide range of Unit Linked funds, including Prudential's new Cautious Managed Growth Fund and Managed Defensive Fund. It also provides for flexibility in the following areas:

     - The option of various commission shapes and levels
     - Period of investment
     - Withdrawal options
     - Additional investment

You may apply online for PIP, directly from Webline, once you have completed the quote process or straight from the Apply menu.

PruProtect
The new suite of protection products from PruProtect offers customers Life Cover, and severity based Serious Illness cover, and follows the success of PruHealth by using the innovative Vitality points system, which is designed to encourage people to take control of their own health and wellbeing. Online application is available, including a full online underwriting system, by linking through to the PruProtect website from your quote on Webline.

New! Zurich Protection Product added to Webline

We are delighted to announce that Zurich have added their recently launched mortgage and family protection plans (Decreasing Mortgage Cover and Level Protection Plan) to Webline's panel. These plans offer the choice of term and/or critical illness cover with a number of options and features designed specifically for these market segments.

Both products benefit from online application capabilities, linking directly to Zurich's extranet from your Webline quote.

New! The Insurance Helpline Available on Webline

The Insurance Helpline's special risks protection service is now accessible
through Webline, under the Protection - Term menu. Linking through from here, you may first apply for an agency with the Totally Insured Group (who run the service) and then begin referring cases.

The Insurance Helpline can help with, not only special risk cases, but is often able to arrange cover for cases that may have previously been declined. On referral, the clients are first 'screened' and the case sent to the underwriters for an indication of requirements and costs. The Insurance Helpline then check affordability with the clients before completing the application. Click the special risks link on Webline for more details.

New! Extranet Links added for 3 more providers

More providers have recently added online new business (extranet application) facilities to Webline - new links have been implemented for BUPA, Zurich and Scottish Provident (with Scottish Provident's extranet link replacing their previous PAC method of applications).

For all extranet applications generated through Webline, any information entered during the quote process, (including client details transferred from any back-office or a sourcing system – if used), can be automatically pre-populated into the online application, speeding up the process for you, and greatly reducing errors.

These additions extend our online application coverage to 12 providers for both Term Assurance and for Mortgage protection. In many cases, there are commission enhancements too for applying online – why not try it via Webline to see how easy it can be?

New! Capita Enabler Launches Modular Website

Capita Enabler has developed a complete template based website solution for advisers. This latest offering is deemed by many to be the most effective website building tool available.

Advisers and Mortgage brokers can choose from a variety of templates to incorporate their own branding and imaging, or have a bespoke site developed. Over 600 pages and guides have been pre-compliance checked so this minimizes effort for the adviser and compliance officer alike, making it easy to meet the obligations of the TCF. Some of the other functions offered by Capita Enabler Modular Website include online calculators, tables, news feeds, client fact find capability with pre-population into your back office system, access to fact sheets, and much more.
