Webline offers two sub-systems designed
for use by financial networks, national IFAs, and other larger organisations.
These are specially designed to allow a central function (e.g.,
a head office) to manage, control and monitor the activities of
many, geographically spread users (e.g., dozens of branch offices
or hundreds of individuals). The two sub-systems and their differences
are briefly described below.
In both cases, the "network administrator" has special
Webline facilities, enabling them to
register and enable (or disable) accounts on Webline for their members
/ users. The administrator may also view the quote requests entered
by their users, as well as track online business submissions. This
is particularly useful where a network provides a help desk for
its own members, for example.
webline sub-agent system
The network sub-agent system is designed for use in a network where
a main account (or master agency) is set up by the network principal
with each Provider. All sub-agents then use this agency - and can
benefit from any commission enhancements the network has negotiated.
The sub-agent firms each have a Webline
account, but in this case they are a "sub-account" of
the principal. The network manager can create and disable Webline
accounts - but in this case they also set the Provider "panel"
and determine the commission sacrifice levels (if any). Note: where
network members have individual agency codes with Providers (but
commission rates are standard across all members of the network),
this system may still be used.
webline group system
The network group administration feature is designed for the more
"traditional" type of network (e.g., a collection of introducers
with independent agency arrangements). In this case, the group administrator
can:
- register new member firms (that is, create and enable their
Webline account directly, without having to submit a registration
application and wait for the account to be activated by Webline);
- disable an existing account (should the need arise);
- monitor all the quotes and new business submissions made by
the member firms.
Please note that this account does not enable the group administrator
to obtain quotes in their own right.
With the group system, each member firm can configure their account
to their own needs - this includes setting their own "panel"
of Providers, determining any commission discount, and setting their
own "compliance text" (if they offer B2B2C quotes via
their website). See the Webline
functionality section for more details.
