The Webline environment supports a
number of products from a growing
list of Providers. End users may log on to the service to obtain
quotes in a typical "over the desk" scenario - our "B2B"
(business to business) offering. Users may also link Webline
into their own websites (where supported by the Providers) if they
wish, in order to generate additional revenue, and make their sites
more interactive. We term this our "B2C" (Business to
Consumer) offering.
The standard Webline system is able
to support a range of user types - "High Street" intermediaries
(both IFA and General Insurance Intermediaries); multi-office / national brokerages;
tied and multi-tied agents; and networks of various types. Once
an account is set up on Webline, user
firms may create as many individual users as they require, at no
extra cost.
We offer special services to networks in order to help them better
manage their operational environments. They may add (and disable)
member / sub-agent firms, define compliance texts to appear on consumer-facing
Web pages, and monitor quotes and actual business submissions -
all from one window.
Webline's flexible and reliable systems
architecture allows the service to expand as more users join - there
are over 4,000 firms using the service, from traditional "one
man bands" to 50-user call centres to networks with over a
thousand members.
functionality specific to providers
Webline offers a control and reporting
sub-system - InFacts - built specifically for Providers. InFacts
allows Providers to perform many tasks including the following:

to monitor the addition of new Webline
accounts as Intermediaries join the service;

to enable and disable specific Financial Intermediaries from
quoting your products;

to view quote statistics and quote details by product, time
periods and intermediaries;

to view your own response times for quote requests as compared
to other (anonymous) Providers.
The data presented in InFacts is regarded by many Providers as
a very valuable resource in helping to further understand their
business and provides input for making important business decisions.
Standard InFacts functionality is included in the standard Webline
Provider presence fee, with additional bespoke functionality built
and priced on a project by project basis.
